A group of socially committed people having philanthropic thoughts and voluntary spirit joined hands together to render social services for the welfare and development of the poor class, weaker section , deprived and needy people of the society irrespective of sex, caste, creed and religion being inspired by the benevolent action of late Bipin Bihari Nayak a dedicated and kind hearted social worker and founded Bipin Institute for benevolent action of Rural Transition (BIBARTAN) in 1996 and registered it under the Society Registration Act. 1960 at state level as a non-profit making voluntary organization. BIBARTAN started its activities in the local area at the initial stage with the active support and cooperation of its members well-wishers, social workers as well as the general public and gradually extended its field of activities and expanded the area of operation to different parts of odisha with the support and cooperation of different similar social organizations relevant supporting agencies, institutions, govt. departments like minded individuals, social workers and general public to fulfill the objectives and achieve the goal. It has achieved the credibility of a state level leading voluntary organization having outreach to different districts of the state through different programmes and activities.

Target Population

Rural poor weaker section , farmers,indigenous people (ST), S.C unorganized labourers,construction workers, MGNREGA workers migrant workers, women, persons with disabilities, children, people in distress and needy people.

Out Reach

BIBARTAN has reached out to more than 85,000 population in 13 districts (Dhenkanal, Angul, Keonjhar, Khordha, Jajpur, Kendrapada , Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Nayagarh, Boudh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Sambalpur) through different programmes and activities.
